It’s rare for ‘fully fixed’ contracts (commodity & margin) to be offered and in many cases the suppliers who do offer this type of contract will only offer it for a 6 month period.
Most contracts are Ansi Plus contracts. Ansi is the same as commodity; it’s the price for the LPG based on the daily market. The plus is the suppliers’ overheads. With this type of contract some suppliers are willing to offer five year contracts while others will only offer 12 month durations.
A contract will not only include the LPG price per litre but the maintenance charge for tank rental, if the customer is a bulk user and is renting a tank.
As most LPG tanks are owned by the supplier and the customer merely rents the tank, switching suppliers generally means an upfront cost of installing a new tank. TED can help minimise this cost by negotiating with suppliers to absorb the upfront costs so that customers are not beholden to one supplier.
We need a Letter of Authority on headed paper which states that we can contact suppliers on your behalf. The Energy Desk cannot act without a Letter of Authority.
This allows us to gather the data we need to tender your requirements to other suppliers.
We will gather data such as the contract end date and annual energy consumption from your current supplier.
Using the data we have gathered from your current supplier we will calculate your requirements and tender them to 15 suppliers in the UK, which includes green suppliers for the more eco-conscious.
We will then receive the prices from suppliers.
We will then present the prices to you with recommendations for the most suitable solution for your requirements.
