Earlier this week, the U.K government launched its first ever ‘Green GB Week’, and the initiative has resulted in some behavioural changes from some of Britain’s largest and most powerful businesses.

The government plans to make Green GB Week an annual event, and it’s been introduced to try and raise awareness on how U.K. businesses can help towards tackling global warming and climate change issues.

Therefore, in our latest blog post, The Energy Desk team react to how Green GB Week has affected how British businesses plan to operate, and provide details on how we can help your business go green!

How have businesses reacted to Green GB Week?

As we all know, climate change is a serious issue that everyone needs to address, and each year there are more and more campaigns to help fight against the acceleration of global warming.

The success of these campaigns often varies, however the initial feedback following Green GB Week implies that this initiative has certainly been a successful one.

News broke this week that following the Green GB Week approximately 30 of the largest British companies including names like HSBC and John Lewis have revealed plans to cut their emission levels.

Some of the businesses that have made the pledge have even revealed that the entirety of their future controlled energy deals will come from more environmentally friendly sources.
