Collette Hall has been with the company since September 2008, when she left school and started through an apprenticeship programme with North Lancs Training Group. Collette started at college doing a business administration course. Her job role was general admin tasks, pricing for the sales team and then moved onto processing the contracts for the company. As Collette got more confident in that department she started moving on to the small corporate stuff and as the company grew so did her job role and now works with large corporate and multisite customers.
Collette then went on and got her full qualification in business administration and after that did an AAT qualification on paid day release at Craven College in Skipton. Collette really enjoys that things are always changing in day to day work life and you’re finding new challenges everyday which means your work never becomes mundane. The TED team really help you along gaining your qualifications and everyone is like family, there is ups and downs but everyone pulls together and gets through and that’s what a team is all about. At TED there is a lot of benefits and the flexibility can make work life a little easier. People are understanding if you’re ill or having a crisis and need to work from home as sometimes we have problems that can’t be avoided.
Collette has been on some amazing trips while she has been at TED like day trips to Alton Towers, go- karting, indoor sky diving, summer balls and Christmas parties to Glasgow and Dublin where the team had a lovely meal, night out on the town and hotel stay. As well as all that, the TED team often get to go to concerts like the Stone Roses, The Script and Take That. As a part of Collette’s job role she also gets invited to supplier and TPI events and has been on a trip to Lee Valley White Water Centre which was organised by Corona.
Collette sees herself at The Energy Desk for a long time, developing her new role as Financial Controller for the company. She has a bright future ahead of her and a very valued member of the TED team.
